What You'll Do

Launch your career as a Level 6 Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Apprenticeship – Software Engineering Pathway with JLR in the UK. Earn while you learn with hands-on training and a nationally recognised qualification.

During your apprenticeship, you will develop practical skills and knowledge while contributing to work within the automotive sector. The programme helps you build core technical capabilities, broaden your understanding and strengthen essential behaviours such as teamwork and problem solving.

You will receive guidance from a JLR early careers cohort lead, the university team and your line manager throughout your programme.

Year 1–2
The programme is delivered through a mix of online learning, in‑person teaching and independent study each week. This structure enables you to apply learning from the University of Warwick to tasks within your role. You will study modules designed to build key knowledge, skills and behaviours, supported by regular progress reviews with tutors and your line manager.

Years 3–4
In years three and four you will study modules linked to your chosen discipline of Software Engineering. During your final year, you will complete a work‑based project as part of your End Point Assessment (EPA), using the skills and experience developed throughout the programme. After successfully completing your EPA, you will achieve a Level 6 apprenticeship.

Throughout your apprenticeship you may work within one of the following areas: Digital Platform or Vehicle Platform. You will be asked to express your preference during the application process.
